The installation precautions for hinges are as follows:
① Ensure firm and reliable installation. Hinges of casement doors and windows are the main load - bearing components. If the installation is not firm, it will cause the corners of the door and window sashes to drop, sag, or fall off, and potential safety hazards may occur.
When installing clamping - type hinges, clamping plates with sufficient friction and screws with sufficient meshing force should be selected.
② Ensure the accurate installation position. Inaccurate installation positions will cause deformation of casement door and window sashes and other situations, and effective bearing and rotation cannot be achieved.
③ Ensure that fasteners are installed in place. For hinges with set screws used to fix the hinge shaft, in order to prevent the hinge shaft from moving downward and falling off, the set screws need to be tightened in place after installation.
④ Ensure proper adjustment. If adjustable hinges are not adjusted properly, it will affect their use. Therefore, a set of adjustable hinges should be adjusted to the optimal state of rotating around the same rotation center line to ensure smooth opening and closing and flexible rotation of the door and window sashes.
2. Installation of handles
Handles should be reasonably selected according to factors such as the type of door and window profiles, the size of the installation surface, the surface color, and the size of the door and window sashes.
① The handle should be firmly installed and the installation position should be accurate.
② After the handle is combined with the actuator, effective and smooth driving should be ensured.
After the handle is installed, it should idle with the sash in the open state. Check whether the rotation is flexible by turning the handle.
When the handle is in the horizontal position, it is in the open state; when the handle is in the downward position, it is in the closed state.
3. Installation of sliding stays
Sliding stays should be symmetrically installed on the top and bottom of casement door and window sashes or on the left and right of top - hung door and window sash frames.
On the basis that the profiles of casement doors and windows and top - hung doors and windows meet the installation dimension requirements of hardware, appropriate sliding stays should be selected according to the width, weight, opening direction and angle of the door and window sashes.
Generally, the length of the sliding stay should be 1/3 - 2/3 of the width of the door and window sash. For top - hung doors and windows, in addition to using sliding stays, they should be used in combination with stays (wind stays). When installing friction - type wind stays for casement doors and windows, first fix the base of the wind stay at the lower corner of the hinge side of the door and window frame, and then, after opening the door and window sash to the maximum angle, fixedly connect the connecting rod fixing seat of the wind stay to the door and window.
