The new R&D headquarters project of Shanghai Cemsys Microelectronics has put very specific requirements on our curtain wall system. The client made it very clear: what they need is not just an attractive exterior, but more importantly, the curtain wall must be as reliable and durable as the precision equipment they produce, providing long-term stability for their internal R&D environment.
Our Etaifeng team was involved in the project discussions from the early stages, holding several focused meetings with the designers and the client. We understood that for a high-tech company like this, the most important aspect of the curtain wall is not fancy designs, but solid performance—it must provide insulation and thermal protection, be tightly sealed, and withstand the test of time.
Based on this understanding, we customized a high-performance unitized curtain wall system for the project. We made specific optimizations in the choice of profiles and glass configuration, selecting profile cavities with better thermal insulation and double silver Low-E insulated glass. For details that are not easily visible, we put in extra effort—such as triple sealing in the curtain wall joints to ensure no water leakage or air infiltration. These measures brought the overall insulation performance and airtightness of the curtain wall to a very high standard.
During the manufacturing phase, we fully leveraged Etaifeng's advantages in system curtain wall production. All curtain wall units were processed in our own factory using digital equipment, and each piece of material underwent strict inspection. Because of the solid groundwork, the on-site installation went much more smoothly. Our installation team coordinated well with the general contractor, and the project progressed slightly faster than planned.
Now that the project has been completed and operational for some time, the client’s feedback has been very gratifying. They specifically mentioned that the curtain wall's actual performance exceeded expectations—not only is the appearance sleek and modern, but the internal environment is truly stable and requires almost no maintenance.
